Vineland's location in Southern New Jersey makes it readily accessible from all parts of the Northeast Business corridor. However, in matters relating to quality of life, Vineland maintains a rural character that is many ways is the antithesis of the traditional view of the state.

Education:

Vineland's school system consists of seven elementary schools, four intermediate schools, a high school and an adult education center. Private institutions in Vineland are Sacred Heart Schools, Cumberland Christian, Ellison School, St. Augustine Preparatory School, and Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Vineland is also home to Cumberland County College, with Stockton State College and Rowan University nearby.

Health Services:

Vineland's health care system is centered around a new state-of-the-art regional hospital, a division of South Jersey Hospital System. The 238 bed facility opened its doors in August, 2004. To compliment the health care system, the Rehabilitation Hospital of South Jersey, the Kidney Center at Vineland, Eastlantic Diagnostic Institute, an MRI Center, and University Imaging Center with their Standup MRI opened their doors.

Recreation and Entertainment:

Vineland offers 238 acres of developed park land. Numerous golf courses are within a ten mile radius of the city. Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and the Jersey Shore are only minutes away, with the Pocono Mountains, Washington, D.C. and New York City within a three hour drive. An improved regional 1.1 million sq. ft. Cumberland Mall, new health club, Performing Arts Center and ice skating complex round out the staple of amenities.

And most important, housing costs are significantly lower than most other communities in the state.
